Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager Accountant to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Manager Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This role requires strong leadership skills, accounting expertise, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll processing.
- Manage financial transactions, journals, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct variance analysis, financial forecasting, and budget tracking to assess performance against targets and identify trends.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost control, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
- Update financial forecasts and projections based on changes in market conditions, business dynamics, and strategic initiatives.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits, reviews, and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide feedback to team members to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
