  1. Ignoring the Cover Letter–Apart from your resume, the companies where you are trying to get in, also get resumes from various other candidates. So, it is quite obvious that the company will not go through all the resumes thoroughly. They might even look at the resumes but, due to loads of resume at their desk, most of the Hr does not even try to look at the Cover Letters of the candidates.

But, that does not mean that you become careless while writing your Cover Letter. It is your duty to write your resume and Cover Letter appropriately even if the HR chooses to not look at them. You never know when you get lucky and your resume gets forwarded to the senior officials for the interview

Offensive social media posts are a big no-no–If you have posted something on your social media sites which is offensive in any case, there is a probability of you landing in big trouble and might lose the opportunity of getting a good job. For instance, if you have been highly involved in a political or cult pages, posted or commented on political or any other issues which could create a negative impact on the society, heavily uploaded pictures of drinking and smoking, then you will not be treated as the perfect candidate for the job.

If you are thinking that looking at someone’s social media means entering their personal space which is wrong, then you are correct. But, the reputed and big organizations tend to do so because they need to check if their candidate is completely suitable for the organization or not. Thus, make sure that before you go on for the interview, you remove such questionable posts or comments from your social media page.

  1. Desperate candidates are ignored–If you want to get a particular job, always remember to never look desperate in front of the interviewers. Being desperate will make the interviewers think that you want the job only because you have no other option or you want to just earn some money for yourself. That is why, never be over-excited or show them your desperation. Act in a normal way and stay calm and composed so that the interviewer feels that you have other options waiting for you.
  2. Job-hoppers are not welcome–No company will like to have such candidates who try to jump from one company to another within few days or months. Such job-hoppers are not entertained in the respected organizations and asked to leave as soon as possible. So, if you get a job in a company, try to be there for as long as possible until you feel you need to explore more in your field and learn more. People who stay in a particular company longer are recognized as the good candidates by the interviewers and have the best chances of getting selected.
  3. Salary is not given for free–You must know that if you are shortlisted for a job which is providing good money, it does not mean that you will get the salary without doing any kind of good work. Taking advantage of your job in a negative way will not help you in any way. So, take your job responsibilities very seriously and work under the rules and regulations of the company so that you feel proud of your hard-earned money.Conclusion
