We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Commerce to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commerce and business studies, with a passion for teaching and mentoring senior secondary students. The PGT Commerce Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, preparing students for board examinations, and fostering a deep understanding of commerce subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Planning and Delivery:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum and CBSE guidelines.
    • Teach commerce subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, and Economics to senior secondary students (Classes XI and XII).
    • Use diverse teaching methods and instructional materials to engage students and enhance learning.
  2. Student Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Design and administer assessments, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate student progress.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide constructive feedback.
    • Prepare students for board examinations through rigorous practice and revision sessions.
  3. Classroom Management:
    • Create a positive and conducive learning environment.
    • Establish clear expectations for behavior and classroom routines.
    • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain discipline and promote student engagement.
  4. Mentoring and Support:
    • Provide academic guidance and support to students.
    • Identify and address individual learning needs and challenges.
    • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their academic goals.
  5. Professional Development:
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in commerce and business education.
    • Participate in professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
  6. Parental Engagement:
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
    • Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and development.
    • Involve parents in school events and activities to build a supportive community.
  7. Extracurricular Involvement:
    • Encourage student participation in commerce-related extracurricular activities, such as business clubs and competitions.
    • Organize and oversee events that promote commerce education, such as workshops and guest lectures.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Commerce (M.Com) or a related field.
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching commerce subjects at the senior secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and examination requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students in the learning process.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work for extended periods while standing or sitting.
  • Capability to handle the physical demands of a classroom environment, including moving around the classroom and assisting students.

Employment Type:

  • Full-time position.
  • Working hours: Typically Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends for school events or additional support sessions.
