We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. The Pre-Primary Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Integrate themes and projects that promote holistic development (cognitive, emotional, social, and physical).
- Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Establish and maintain routines that provide structure and predictability.
- Use positive discipline strategies to manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Observe and assess students’ progress and development regularly.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and development.
- Provide feedback to parents/guardians on a regular basis and during parent-teacher conferences.
- Parental Engagement:
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child’s progress and school activities.
- Encourage parental involvement in classroom activities and school events.
- Address any concerns or questions parents/guardians may have promptly and professionally.
- Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in early childhood education.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
- Classroom Environment:
- Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
- Arrange classroom space to enhance learning and encourage independence.
- Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore and learn.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Relevant teaching certification or license (if applicable).
- Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry children and objects up to 40 pounds.
- Stamina to keep up with the physical demands of working with young children (e.g., sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods).
Employment Type:
- Full-time position.
- Working hours: Typically Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events.
