We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-Primary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. The Pre-Primary Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive learning atmosphere, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
    • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
    • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles.
    • Integrate themes and projects that promote holistic development (cognitive, emotional, social, and physical).
  2. Classroom Management:
    • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Establish and maintain routines that provide structure and predictability.
    • Use positive discipline strategies to manage classroom behavior effectively.
  3. Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
    • Observe and assess students’ progress and development regularly.
    • Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and development.
    • Provide feedback to parents/guardians on a regular basis and during parent-teacher conferences.
  4. Parental Engagement:
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child’s progress and school activities.
    • Encourage parental involvement in classroom activities and school events.
    • Address any concerns or questions parents/guardians may have promptly and professionally.
  5. Professional Development:
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in early childhood education.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
  6. Classroom Environment:
    • Ensure the classroom is clean, safe, and conducive to learning.
    • Arrange classroom space to enhance learning and encourage independence.
    • Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore and learn.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching certification or license (if applicable).
  • Previous experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry children and objects up to 40 pounds.
  • Stamina to keep up with the physical demands of working with young children (e.g., sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods).

Employment Type:

  • Full-time position.
  • Working hours: Typically Monday to Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events.
