Position Title: Medical Director – Neurosurgeon

Job Summary:

The Medical Director – Neurosurgeon is responsible for providing clinical leadership, overseeing the neurosurgery department, and performing advanced neurosurgical procedures. This role combines administrative and surgical expertise to ensure high-quality patient care, adherence to medical standards, and the continuous improvement of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the neurosurgery department, ensuring alignment with hospital goals and standards.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols and guidelines to ensure best practices.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior surgeons and medical staff.
• Patient Care:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with neurological conditions.
  • Perform advanced neurosurgical procedures, including but not limited to brain, spine, and peripheral nerve surgeries.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Administrative Duties:
  • Oversee departmental budgets, resources, and staffing to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of neurosurgery staff.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in hospital committees and contribute to strategic planning.
• Research and Education:
  • Engage in clinical research to advance the field of neurosurgery.
  • Publish findings in reputable medical journals and present at conferences.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and training for medical staff within the department.
• Quality Improvement:
  • Monitor and analyze clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives within the neurosurgery department.
  • Implement new technologies and techniques to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent.
  • Completed residency in Neurosurgery from an accredited institution.
  • Fellowship in a specialized area of neurosurgery is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Board Certification in Neurosurgery.
  • Valid medical license to practice neurosurgery.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in neurosurgery.
  • Previous leadership or administrative experience within a hospital or clinical setting.
• Skills:
  • Expertise in performing complex neurosurgical procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of surgical and medical technologies.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education.

Working Conditions:

• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform surgeries, stand for extended periods, and handle surgical instruments.
• Work Environment: Hospital or clinical setting with potential exposure to infectious materials and other hazards.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: UP TO 3 Lakh PM
